- Specialized delegation of Iranian building industry professionals to be dispatched to Baku
- Participation in BakuBuild 2026 scheduled for October 14-16, 2026
- SAMA Building Media to be present as media sponsor at the exhibition
A meeting was held with Hossein Pirmoazen, Vice President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) and head of the Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Chamber of Commerce, Ramin Guran, head of the Tehran Association of Mass Builders and Housing, and Saeed Zarif, managing director of SAMA Building Media and advisor to the Tehran Builders Association, to explore ways to expand specialized cooperation in the building industry between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
A key focus of the session was creating an operational platform for Iranian builders, developers, contractors, and technical and engineering service firms to enter the Azerbaijani market. Discussions covered the capacity of the Builders Association’s members to participate in construction and development projects in the country, the introduction of Iranian companies’ technical and execution capabilities, and the formation of direct partnerships with Azerbaijani economic actors and specialized entities.
Plan to dispatch a specialized delegation to Baku
The meeting decided to pave the way for sending a specialized delegation of Iranian building industry professionals to Baku. In addition to attending and visiting the BakuBuild 2026 exhibition, the delegation will hold specialized business meetings with economic operators, builders, investors, and related organizations in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Coordination with relevant authorities and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan was also considered to facilitate this program.
BakuBuild 2026, the 31st Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition, will take place from October 14 to 16, 2026 (22 to 25 Mehr 1405 in the Iranian calendar) at the Baku Expo Center. The official exhibition program includes, alongside the exhibition area, conferences and specialized sessions on the future of construction, innovation, architecture, and urban development. B2B and B2G meetings are also scheduled within the event’s official framework.
At the Iran Chamber meeting, it was emphasized that participation in this event could serve as a platform for exporting Iran’s technical and engineering services, identifying project opportunities, establishing direct links between the private sectors of the two countries, and forging new collaborations in construction and project development. In this context, the organized presence of the Tehran Builders Association, as one of the private sector’s specialized bodies in the building industry, was also reviewed so that member builders and companies could present their capacities, track records, and capabilities to Azerbaijani counterparts.
SAMA’s media role in Baku
SAMA Building Media will also be present at BakuBuild 2026 as the exhibition’s media sponsor and the Iranian media outlet at the event. With a dedicated booth set up in cooperation with the Tehran Builders Association, SAMA will provide media coverage of the programs and engage with building industry professionals in the region, with a special program to showcase the capabilities of Iran’s building industry in Baku. The official BakuBuild website has also allocated a special section for the 2026 media sponsors.
Concurrently with the exhibition, an international special edition of the Building Magazine will be published, focusing on introducing the capabilities of Iran’s building industry, builders, developers, brands, and companies active in technical and engineering services. It will be distributed through the SAMA booth at the exhibition to specialized audiences, economic operators, and visitors.
According to SAMA, holding this meeting on the eve of BakuBuild 2026 was described as the first step toward forming a more cohesive program among the Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Chamber, the Builders Association, and SAMA Building Media, aimed at expanding the economic and professional ties of Iran’s building industry in the Azerbaijani market.
