The 25th National Developers Summit, themed “From Building Construction to Destination Creation,” will be held on Dey 9 and 10, 1405 (December 30–31, 2026) at Homa Hotel in Shiraz. The event, with a focus on southern Iran, will center on the future of hotels, accommodation, mixed-use projects, and new models of development and investment.

According to SAMA, the summit is organized by the Building Media Complex and will bring together developers, investors, builders, architects, hoteliers, operators, tourism professionals, project managers, building industry brands, and other players in the development chain.

Shiraz is hosting this edition, but the scope of the summit is not limited to a single city or province. The goal is to create a regional meeting point for professionals in construction, development, architecture, tourism, and investment across the southern half of the country—from Fars and Yazd to Hormozgan, Sistan and Baluchestan, and other southern provinces and cities of Iran.

Continuation of a Dialogue That Became More Serious in Mazandaran

At the 24th National Summit of Builders, Developers, and Designers, held in Mazandaran, a significant portion of discussions was devoted to topics beyond conventional construction—such as mixed-use projects, hotels and accommodation, tourism investment, condo-hotels, project operation, and the role of architecture in shaping a destination.

Feedback from construction and tourism industry professionals on these themes indicated that the construction market is increasingly moving toward projects that are not defined solely by the sale of square meters.

In many new projects, success is no longer limited to the quality of the structure or architecture. How a project is defined, the investment model, branding, operation, services, user experience, sales, and the project’s place in a region’s economy are all part of the development process.

Accordingly, the main theme of the 25th edition is summarized in one phrase:

“From Building Construction to Destination Creation”

Why “Destination Creation”?

The approach to construction projects is changing.

A successful hotel, an accommodation complex, a condo-hotel, or a mixed-use project achieves sustainable value when, in addition to constructing a building, it can also create reasons for presence, stay, investment, and return of the audience.

In such an approach, architecture is only one component of the project; alongside it, the economic model, operation, brand, services, audience experience, financing, sales, and the project’s connection to the city and region become important.

From this perspective, a developer is not just a builder; their role begins with defining the idea and investment model and continues through design, construction, sales, operation, and creating long-term value for the project.

The 25th National Developers Summit seeks to pursue this shift in mindset through specialized discussions, experience sharing, and examination of real examples and opportunities.

Why Southern Iran?

Southern Iran possesses a set of diverse yet complementary capacities—from the cultural and historical tourism of Shiraz and Yazd to the coastal and maritime potential of Hormozgan and the southern coasts, natural destinations, health tourism, regional markets, and extensive opportunities for defining accommodation and mixed-use projects.

In many of these areas, the issue is no longer just increasing the number of buildings; it is how to define projects that can contribute to the local economy, tourism, quality of life, employment, and the identity of a destination.

This very issue has increased the need for more serious dialogue among investors, developers, architects, hoteliers, operators, city managers, suppliers, and brand owners.

Shiraz has been chosen as the host for this edition, but the summit is designed with a regional outlook and targets professionals involved in projects and markets across the southern half of the country.

Main Themes of the Summit

Destination creation, hotels and accommodation, mixed-use projects, condo-hotels, investment and financing, operation and management, architecture and design, branding and sales, and health tourism will be the main themes of the 25th National Developers Summit.

Alongside these topics, real project experiences and various development models will be examined so that the event does not remain limited to theoretical perspectives.

The goal is to discuss project development from multiple angles simultaneously—from the formation of the idea and securing capital to design, construction, market entry, and operation.

An Event to Connect Different Project Players

One of the main objectives of the summit is to bring together groups that typically each hold a part of the development process of a project.

Developers and builders, investors, architects and designers, hoteliers and operators, project managers, consultants, building and material brands, tourism groups, and other professionals will have the opportunity over these two days to discuss projects, market needs, and areas for collaboration.

The summit program will include speeches, specialized panels, experience sharing, and introduction of investment opportunities.

Exhibition of Building Brands and Materials; Presence Alongside Project Decision-Makers

Concurrent with the summit, a specialized exhibition of building brands and materials will also be held.

This exhibition is designed to create direct communication between manufacturers and suppliers and developers, builders, architects, and project owners.

Unlike general exhibitions, the focus of this section is on creating professional connections with groups that play a direct role in selecting products, materials, equipment, and execution solutions for projects.

Brands in the fields of facades and building envelopes, interior architecture, lighting, mechanical and electrical systems, smart building, construction equipment, materials, hotel and accommodation equipment, landscaping, and other services and products related to project development can participate in this section.

Investment Opportunities Alongside Products and Services

One of the notable sections of this edition is the introduction and examination of investment opportunities.

At a time when many future projects in the construction industry are defined by mixed-use, tourism, and operation-oriented models, the connection between capital and project has become a key development issue.

Therefore, the summit will endeavor to create a platform for introducing projects, opportunities, and investment models alongside the introduction of products and technologies in the construction industry.

Two Days of Dialogue and Networking in Shiraz

The 25th National Developers Summit will be held on Dey 9 and 10, 1405 at Homa Hotel in Shiraz.

The summit program will be held in the afternoons and will include a series of speeches, specialized panels, experience sharing, introduction of investment opportunities, a specialized exhibition, and professional networking.

This edition continues the path that SAMA has pursued in previous editions to bring builders, developers, architects, investors, and building industry brands closer together—with the difference that this time the main question is no longer just “How do we build?”

The more important question is:

How do we turn a project into a destination for living, staying, investing, and experiencing?
