Hamid and Saeed Mohammadi, the co-founders of Iran’s leading e-commerce platform Digikala, have made a personal investment in the Danseh Hotels Group. The move is intended to accelerate the group’s growth trajectory, expand its network of hotels and accommodation facilities, and strengthen Danseh’s position within Iran’s tourism and hospitality industry.

Danseh Group operates in the tourism, accommodation and hospitality sector, focusing on the financing, construction and operation of selected hotels and lodgings to create a distinctive, high-quality Iranian travel and hosting experience. The company was founded in April 2024 by Nima Ghazi — who previously co-founded the Ali Baba travel group — and Soheil Mamdouhi. To date, Danseh has incorporated 13 accommodation complexes into its network, with a presence in the northern provinces of Gilan and Mazandaran, the southern province of Bushehr, and on Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf.

According to a statement from Danseh, the investment by Hamid and Saeed Mohammadi was executed through a capital increase amounting to 300 billion tomans. Following this transaction, the two brothers’ combined stake in Danseh will reach 25 percent. The investment was made in a personal capacity, independent of Digikala, and was channelled through ‘Ham-Bonyangaran Pishgam Tejarat’ (Pioneer Trade Co-Founders), a company owned by Hamid and Saeed Mohammadi.

In a post on his personal social media account, Hamid Mohammadi stated that the purpose of the investment is to contribute to the development of Iran’s tourism industry. He expressed the belief that Iran’s development path runs through this sector and that, given the country’s significant potential, there is a pressing need for transformation and investment in this field. Mohammadi described the move as an opportunity to enhance quality and drive change in Iran’s tourism industry.

Soheil Mamdouhi and Nima Ghazi, co-founders of Danseh, also posted on their social media accounts, describing the opportunity to draw on the experience of Hamid and Saeed Mohammadi as valuable for embarking on a new chapter of growth and development for the group. They expressed hope that Danseh would be able to play a more meaningful role in the industry by raising quality standards and developing tourism infrastructure.
