Warning from a property developer

Buildings Made Purely for Sale Will Struggle in a Competitive Future Market

Key points
  • Buildings built only for sale will face problems in the future competitive market
  • Construction must be life-centered and provide peace and comfort for residents
  • Builders should respect architects' views and avoid acting arbitrarily

According to SAMA, Samad Soleimanzadeh, a building industry developer and CEO of Vivo Company, responded to the question of whether builders should construct buildings for sale or for living, emphasizing that construction is inherently life-centered: “Everything we do is for life, and humans are born to live properly.”

He noted that peace and comfort outside the home are already under enough pressure and concern, adding: “It is expected that when a person enters their home, they will have a space full of tranquility and comfort.”

The difference between today’s homes and those of the past

Comparing the current situation with the past, this building industry developer stated: “Today’s homes are not like those of the past, which were villas with courtyards, independence, and trees; most of us have become apartment dwellers, so we must build apartments where one can live properly and beautifully, like the old villas.”

He went on to express hope regarding projects that are built correctly and with an architectural perspective, saying: “I hope architects, and especially builders, pay attention to the views of architects, do not impose personal opinions arbitrarily, and do not question the status of architecture.”

Soleimanzadeh concluded: “Buildings built for living will certainly sell, but in a competitive market, buildings built only for sale will definitely face problems.”
