Saeed Shahrokhi, the Governor of Lorestan province in western Iran, announced today the inauguration of the province’s first four-star hotel in the city of Aligudarz. Speaking at the opening ceremony, he emphasised the strategic role of tourism in regional development and stated that the project, delivered by the private sector, was launched with the aim of raising the standard of visitor amenities and hospitality services.

Highlighting the scale of the investment, the governor noted that the total construction cost for the complex amounts to 6,100 billion rials — a significant figure for the tourism sector. Detailing the project’s financing structure, Shahrokhi explained that 5,000 billion rials came from direct private-sector investment, while the remaining 1,100 billion rials were secured through bank loans.

Turning to the economic impact of the scheme, the Lorestan governor said the hotel’s operation will create direct employment for more than 40 people.
